The pure and natural (E)-(R)-4-thujanol crystal is a product intended for scientific research. (E)-(R)-4-thujanol is proposed (1) as an analytical standard, (2) as an analogue of menthol and (3) in agricultural science.
1. The (E)-(R)-4-thujanol is proposed as an analytical standard. (E)-(R)-4-thujanol is the only one available on earth produced from a natural source and delivered under the chiral P-type helix structure (see link to publications on the left panel this page).
2. (E)-(R)-4-thujanol is an analogue of menthol. It could be use with avantages in binary or eutectic systems to facilitate the crossing of active molecules through cells membranes. Example by replacing lidocaine/menthol, by lidocaine/thujanol.
3. The (E)-(R)-4-thujanol has also bioactive properties in agricultural and forestry sciences (repellent of bark beetle and attractor of workers bees in sunflower).
The pure (E)-(R)-4-thujanol crystal is stable at room temperature and can be shipped over the planet easily.
Its price is high but should not discourage the search for new applications. Indeed, the industrialization of crystallization can lead to a very important reduction of costs. Currently the cost is linked to the research that was implemented for this innovation.
